The Philadelphia 76ers are yet to figure out a way to stop the Miami Heat. They suffered their third straight loss to the Heat, losing the game 100-94. The Sixers are now down three games, and will need a miracle to comeback against the Heat.
The Sixers were hoping to have better luck against the Heat in front of their home crowd. Unfortunately, they weren't able to contain Heat superstar Dwyane Wade down the stretch, and ended up losing the game by six points.
The Sixers once again outplayed the Heat in the first quarter, but were unable to duplicate their success in the second. The Heat looked a lot better in the second quarter, cutting down the Sixers lead to two points by halftime. The game remained competitive until the final moments of the fourth quarter, when Dwyane Wade made some tough shots for the Heat, guaranteeing their third straight victory in the 2011 NBA playoffs.
For the third straight game, the Heat's big three delivered on both sides of the court for their team. LeBron James was harassed by Sixers fans all night, but that didn't stop him from having another great playoff performance. LeBron made 8 of his 15 total shots, finishing the game with 24 points, 15 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Heat superstar Dwyane Wade led both teams in scoring, finishing the game with 32 points. Wade also added ten rebounds and eight assists to his stats. Chris Bosh also had another productive night for the Heat, dropping 19 points and 6 rebounds.
The Heat also got some help from their role players like Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who finished the game with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Small forward James Jones also gave his team a much needed boost, contributing 8 points and 5 rebounds to his team's numbers.
Game 3 will be played on April 24 in Philadelphia. The Heat will try to close out the series against the Sixers, and start preparations for their next opponent. With the way things have gone in the first three games, the Heat shouldn't have any problems accomplishing their goals.
