Canelo's handlers insist they want Mayweather next

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez has made it clear he wants to test his skills against the likes of Floyd Mayweather and Sergio Martinez in the near future, and that sentiment remains the same within his camp.

Alvarez' trainer, Chepo Reynoso, recently reiterated the fact they're only interested in facing the very best boxers in the world in 2013. “There will be major challenges next year," Reynoso said about potential opponents for Canelo. "The time has come where Saul must face the best pound for pound fighters in the world."

Canelo looked awesome during his last outing against Josesito Lopez, knocking him out during the fifth round of their Sept. 15 encounter. Lopez was coming off an upset victory against Victor Ortiz, but he was clearly in over his head against Canelo.
