MMA veteran Vitor Belfort came close to dethroning Jon Jones during the first round of their UFC 152 encounter, but "The Phenom" ended up falling short against the youngest champion in the promotion's history.
Vitor's next fight will be against "Ultimate Fighter" season three winner, Michael Bisping, and the old lion is looking forward to redeeming himself against a top middleweight contender.
The two will headline the "UFC on FX 7" fight card, scheduled for Jan. 19, at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in São Paulo, Brazil.
“It is definitely a fight for the chance to dispute the belt," Vitor said about his upcoming fight. "For me, Bisping is in a better position than Weidman in the ranking. This not only about winning, it is about fighting against the best and he fought Wanderlei Silva, Rashad Evans."
