NBA owners and players miss deadline, first two weeks of 2011/12 season axed

The first two weeks of the 2011/12 NBA regular season have officially been cancelled. After seven hours of negotiations between NBA owners and players on Monday, Oct. 10, both sides were unable to reach an agreement.
