5 Teams to Watch in the 2011/12 NFL Season

With the NFL lockout a thing of the past, the 2011 regular season is about to start. Many of the great teams of the 2010/11 NFL season will be back in full force, and a few surprise teams will surely emerge. Here are five teams every NFL fan will want to keep an eye on this season.

1. New England Patriots
Even though they didn't do as well as they planned in the last post-season, the Patriots still have the strongest team in the NFL. With Chad Ochocinco now a part of the team, defenses will have major problems keeping Tom Brady under control.

2. Philadelphia Eagles
The Super-bowl winning Green Bay Packers cut the Eagles post-season short last season, but we've certainly not seen the last of them. With quarterback Michael Vick fully in control of the team, the Eagles should have one of the best offenses in the league. The Eagles have also buffed up their passing defense with the addition of Nnamdi Asomugha and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

3. Green Bay Packers
The Packers championship run wasn't a fluke, and NFL fans can expect another strong season from them. With a majority of the 2010/11 roster coming back to the team, there isn't a team in the NFL they can't compete with. Expect more great things from Aaron Rodgers in the 2011/12 NFL season.

4. San Diego Chargers
Quarterback Phillip Rivers should be on his way to another impressive season, given the new additions to the Charger team. San Diego added veteran linebackers Takeo Spike and safety Bob Sanders to their defense during the off-season, not to mention rookie Corey Liuget who was selected 19th overall in the 2011 NFL draft.

5. Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons still have a lot of growing up to do, but their future looks bright. Matt Ryan has a few new targets to throw the ball at (Julio Jones will be his number one option of course), and I expect him to get his first post-season victory come playoff time.
