Former EliteXC middleweight champion Murilo "Ninja" Rua shocked many MMA fans with his retirement from the sport at the age of 31. Well known by hardcore MMA fans, Rua has competed in many of the sports' top promotions around the world.
Murilo's hasn't been as successful as his younger brother former UFC light-heavyweight champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, but the Brazilian MMA fighter has nothing to be ashamed off. Rua recorded wins over respectable MMA fighters over the years, never losing more than two fights in row.
