De La Hoya checks in at substance abuse facility

Boxing great Oscar De La Hoya checked into a California area rehabilitation center, apparently due to substance abuse problems. The decision to address his problem is a voluntary choice for the former middleweight champion who has managed to keep his image clean over the years. De La Hoya was quick to issue a statement addressing the whole situation.
